The non-profit Freedom of Information Foundation of Texas, in cooperation with the Texas Attorney General's Office, is presenting an Open Government Seminar featuring training on the state's open government laws on Thursday, June 4, at the San Antonio Public Library auditorium, 600 Soledad St. The program begins at 9:30 a.m. with a session on the Texas Public Information Act, followed by a TPIA cost rules session and a Texas Open Meetings Act session. Light refreshments will be provided. The event concludes by 1:30 p.m. Here's the agenda:

9 a.m.: Library doors open; coffee available in meeting room.
9:30-10:45, Texas Public Information Act training (Justin Gordon, Texas Attorney General's Office)
10:45-11:00, Break
11:00-Noon, TPIA cost rules training (Justin Gordon)
Noon-12:15 - Break; complimentary refreshments; attendees may eat as next session begins
12:20-1:30, Texas Open Meetings Act training (Tom Williams, attorney and FOI Foundation board member)

*This course has been approved as meeting the requirements for state open government training for public officials. State Bar of Texas Continuing Legal Education credits are available for attorneys.

*Parking is in library garage, as available. Bring ticket into the library for validation. First three hours free, then $5 flat rate. Cash or credit cards only. No cash.
